Rose Gold Hair Trend

2016 Hair Color of the Year - Rose Gold 

Pastel colors have been on trend for the last couple of years, but the hair color of the year for is definitely rose-gold, or rose-blonde.  

Over the last couple of years we saw everything from watches, earrings, table-ware, lamps, shoes, phone cases and every other accessory you can think of in shades of rose-gold.   Now you can rock this color in your hair as well.  This is a trend that is sure to be big for Fall 2016.  Variations on shades of pinkish gold, rosey blonde, desert rose and pastel pink ombres have been blowing up all over Instagram over the last couple of months. 

Rose-Gold hair projects the laid back, free-spirited, bohemian look of the moment, while still giving a nod to some girlish fun from 1980's animation.  It looks beautiful on many different skin shades.

Recently, I was feeling like I needed a hair change that would give me a mood boost, and I'm happy to report that this hair color was definitely what I needed.

I have an amazing colorist who is always on top of all the latest hair trends.  So when I saw a photo she posted on Instagram of a hair look she created of the most beautiful pinkish blonde hair color - I knew it was the color for me.

I walked around feeling like I was in kind of a happy 1980's dream wearing a look that combined Jem and The Holograms mixed with a care-free unicorn.   This hair is a definite mood lifter, and very flattering when created by an expert stylist.  

Unfortunately my beautiful color faded after about 2 weeks, (the down-side of pastel hair colors) so now it's time for me to head back to my stylist to get my fun pink hair back again.
