Natural Hair and Bohemian Waves are Everything Right Now
Summer 2015 is all about the Festival Girl vibe, with the signature center parted, long, messy, wavy hair. Whether you have straight, wavy or curly textured hair, the more natural looking the texture the better. Having a bit of roughed-up texture to your hair instantly gives you a cooler and younger look.
To get this overall look, try rumpled hair paired with a sheer Spring dress and some edgy accessories, like a leather wrist cuff or a long gold necklace with an arrow head pendant. The feeling this year is to go for a look that gives off an easy going, low maintenance vibe. Native American prints, peasant looking floral prints, ankle booties, taupe and nude colored accessories, flowy tops, high waisted shorts and skirts and most importantly, long, lovely waves are big right now.
For easy boho waves start off by spraying your hair with a volumizer before drying it, try a clean center part down the middle of your head. Then do a lazy blowdry, add a few extra curls with a curling iron, mainly in the front near your face. Next, run your fingers through your hair to rough the curl up a bit, and use a texture cream or mousse to finish the look. Spray with a light hairspray and your done!
If your hair is short, or needs more volume, try adding some long extensions under the crown of your head in the back to get some extra wow factor.
