Can't tell you from personal experience that they do a bad job. Can however say they are rude on the phone. Had a 9 am appointment, got there and at 910 the building was still locked, lights off and no one would answer the phone. About 920 the person that was to open called and seemed not to care they've re late and used child care issues as her excuse. Wasted my time and fuel to drive into town from my rural home. Just wanted my son to have a haircut for his birthday party.

I took my little one to Monkey Doos last month for his first haircut. The staff was nice and the place is set up well for kids but there is hair and dirt in every nook and cranny of the trucks the kids sit in and I was certain they didn't even wipe down the places kids touch in between cuts. I'm not sure of other kid friendly options but this place needs a thorough disinfecting and some rules on cleanliness instated.

Monkey Dooz has an adorable concept but poor execution and accountability from the owner down to the staff. My daughter recently had a birthday party there the party did not unfold as they “sold it.” I would seriously think twice before engaging the service of Monkey Dooz for anything beyond a kid’s simple haircut. The staff is not very inviting and seems resentful that you are there; kids do not deserve the silent treatment from a salon.
Really is too bad that they don’t follow through with what they sell and have better attitudes. After all attitude is everything the service industry.

The staff is great. My daughter loves going to Monkey Dooz. We usually get a cut and mini manicure. They always go the extra step to make her (my daughter) feel special. They do a great job cutting her hair and she has a lot of thick wavy hair. When painting her nails they give her a choice of color and sparkles. They have even painted flowers for her which makes her feel really special. When we leave my daughter is always strutting because she feels so beautiful afterwards. I love it and will definitely be taking my daughter back over and over again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service. :)

My children love going to Monkey Doo's. The salon professionals are quick and eager to please. Each time I've been specific on what I want in a hair cut for my children and they follow my wishes!

We have now been to Monkey Dooz twice to have our 2 1/2 year old son's hair cut. The stylists there are fantastic! They understand how to cut a child's hair -- you have to be fast, safe, and entertaining! In terms of quality, they've also been the best haircuts he's ever had. We will only go to Monkey Dooz from now on!
