I started getting my hair cut at Garbo because I have wavy hair - hard to cut. So when I moved here, I got all the advice I could and went, thankfully, to Garbo. I got a great cut and pampered along the way. Nice. Absolutely sold on the cut and great style job with products (Aveda) that WORK! - I noticed they had other services and tried a few. Now it's my one stop shop - they even have oxygenated water for me to drink after a massage! Now I am telling newcomers - GO TO GARBO! You'll be soooo glad you did. One more note - their facials products are the best!

After finding this secret gem in north central austin, I have been a loyal client for the last few years. It is a wonderful blend of upscale services and calm comfort. I think I've tried almost every service offered and have never been let down. They have it all! Including Thai massage!!!! (Not an easy thing to find in Austin.) The VERY BEST deep tissue massage I've ever experienced in my life. Seriously, if you like stretching, relaxing and feeling better - try it! Afterwards, I love to have my hair done for me. All this ends up costing less than what some other spa's charge for massage alone. I guess it's all a part of how they care for their client's needs. I've met the owner (she does hair there) and can tell, they care about their community, not just focusing on the "all mighty dollar" which, in and of itself, is refreshing.

Walking in to a friendly place and receiving a wonderful service and booking my next appointment ahhh I feel like I have found my salon home. I had a wonderful had cut and pedicure next time a facial...lets see what else? plus open 7 days a week...my kind of place!

Garbo is the salon and day spa I have fallen in love with! The place is spotless, has a great energy, and the most amazing staff. I have my hair cut with Beni-who is smart, SO good, and very empathetic to hair issues. I get my facial with Tarah- who has reversed ALL of my stupid tanning years, and I get my pedicure with Margaret. On a couch in the pedicure "lounge" while drinking organic coffee. Oh- and she includes a reflexology massage, people. Go Here! Leave the snobby spas behind and hang out with a group that laughs!
