| User Review - J S | Great Metaphysical Shop, But Get Reiki Somewhere Else
Reiki practitioner was level 3 master w/15 yrs exp, yet was very misinformed about Reiki. Said it is "ancient Japanese art which was brought to the US in late 1800's." Reiki is not ancient. It was developed in Japan in late 1800's and brought to US following World War II. Practitioner spoke of what "Reiki guides" were telling her during session. While she may have spirits who guide her personally, there are no Reiki guides. She also used a tuning fork and crystals during session, mentioning that while they were't Reiki per se, they were effective tools in the "Reiki toolbox." Reiki does not need additional tools. Lovely woman, but she practices Reiki with misinformation & new age twists.
