MY hair was styled by the owner and colored, thinking that she would have knowledge. MY HAIR IS SCREWED.....she over proceeseed and did not listen to the style and basicaly did what she wanted. She also had a bad attitude.DO NOT go there.

I've been a client of Mitzi's for about 5 years now, and my husband has come here for over 10 years. Mitzi and her WONDERFUL staff can handle ALL of your hair and tanning needs. I get colored extensions, feathers and tinsel in my hair -- why not try something new for fun? The next thing I'm going to do is get a spray tan, which I've seen on others. It looks wonderful!
Mitzi's does pamper parties, bridal days, birthday parties and more! All you need is a reason to have a party! Mitzi and company will take care of the rest!
Mitzi also has a full service location in Gallatin as well. The location is 152 N. Belvedere Drive, Gallatin. The # there is 615-451-4636. Go see for yourself! :)

I was a walk in when I first went to Mitzi's. Everyone was very friendly and the lady at the front counter asked me "How she could help me"? I explained that I didn't have an appointment but that I would like a short haircut and have my hair colored with two different colors. I was told that would not be a problem at all. The cost was well within the limits of other salons. Amber took care of me and she is the best stylist I have ever been to (in my 58.6 yrs)! She's very friendly, takes time with you and if you see something that you want done a certain way, she will listen to you and do it your way. She styles hair of all ages. If you are looking for someone to fix your hair for your wedding, prom, or just a special occasion, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MITZI'S HAIR DESIGN!!!!!

I found Mitzi's because I was searching for someone to do Great lengths Extensions. I called Mitiz's and was blown away by the friendly and confident voice that greeted me! After talking with Amber I made my appointment, Not only did Amber do an amazing job but EVERYONE was so SWEET! We had a Blast while she did my hair!!!! =) I'm so thankful to Amber and Her Mom Mitzi!!!! Everyone thinks my hair is so beautiful and you could never tell I had extensions! Amber will be my forever stylist which is saying a lot because the last lady who did my hair did so for over 10 + years! Thanks AMBER!

I love this salon and the owner. I followed her when she retired from Castner Knot, and have never been disapointed. I average getting my hair done twice a week and have always enjoyed my visits. I know Mitzi on a personal and professional level, we have laughed together and cried together, but my hair and my experince has always been a good one. I know for a fact this salon is family owned and operated, they get along GREAT and work VERY WELL together. After reading the previous post, I feel the need to make it known that after Mitzi opened her own salon her prices actualy went down, and have only made a few increases over the past 18 years. Its one of the only full service salons I know of that you can still get a pedicure for $20.00 and a manicure for $13.00. I would like to recomend the person who had a negative experince to contact Mitzi personally, Im sure she would like to know about the situation and try to resolve it.

I was very excited about this salon on the first visit. The owner, Mitzi, did my hair and did a fabulous job and charged me a very reasonable amount. The next few times I went in though, the work started to get sloppier and Mitzi herself seemed to always be in a bad mood. The girls who work there are very friendly. The last time I went in, she was so rude, it was borderline hateful. I also noticed that every time I went in the price got higher and higher even though the service was the same thing. The last visit I had she had quoted me a price before hand and then after the service was completed asked me to pay almost double what she had previously said. At that point, what do you do other than just pay it? I was very disappointed. She is hateful, manipulative and deceptive. As long as you only go once she'll probably be nice to you but once she thinks your a regular, it will all change.
