    YOU WILL GET FUNGUS!!
    I have been tanning at Planet Beach for a year now. I stopped 4 months ago because I got a bacteria called Tinea Versicolor. This bacteria spreads through tanning beds and towels(I do not share towels.) After finding white spots on my skin I went to see the dermatologist and this is what he told me. I was not upset with them until I went in today to make sure my membership was CANCELLED. I had a year membership, which was over, and I was told she would keep charging me. I told her I was discontinuing because of this fungus, and that I knew many people who had gotten it. Jenni(employee) said thats the risk you take when you tan! My mother went in after me and talked to her and she told her she had even gotten tinea versicolor from the tanning beds herself!!! An employee!! They are not properly washing their beds! If that is the risk I take when I tan they should have said that in the contract! Planet Beach Brier Creek is NOT the place to go tanning!

    BEWARE of the CONTRACT.
    Read the fine print of the contract and get several employees to confirm everything regarding policies.I was told to inform them by a particular date when to freeze the acct and to let them know when to remove the freeze.I was being signed up by a new employee (who is no longer with the store) -she misinformed me about policies. I was leaving the country so I talked to the manager. He said I had to sign a "freeze" form (which I was never told).I explained that I couldn't stop by to sign.He said he would take care of it and he did. Never was it explained that the hold was for ONLY one month. After getting settled back in town, I noticed that my bank acct had been charge the full monthly fee for 2 months.I called immediately and spoke to the same manager -he spoke with the owner.I called the headquarters. The owner decided to refund me back HALF!!! I'm being penalized for employee mistakes -2 monthly fees ($80) and an add'l $50 to cancel -so in total I paid $130 to cancel my contract.
