Well I'd like to start off by saying that I am only here to share my opinions about the experience I had at A+ Tattoo in Hastings, Minnesota. You may have had a better experience than I did, but this is mine. I felt good going into this tattoo appointment based on the communication I had prior to my appointment with the owner. He seemed nice, knowledgeable, and excited to do my tattoo. With 25 years experience, I felt confident that I was in good hands.
I asked him what his hourly rate was and he said he was going to just bid this job. It was $450 and he justified the price because of all the detail work. I agreed and figured it would take him around 3.5 - 4 hours.
The tattoo only took him a total of 2 hours, needle to skin time, and I felt like he was rushing towards the end. That's $225 per hour. For that price, I expect and demand perfection from someone who has been tattooing for 25 years. At the end of the appointment, he said I would have to come back for touch ups. That all sounded grea

I got my sons name on my arm (my 9th tat), cost me $150 for 15 min of work.. looked at the price for piercings, and prices are just way to high. I must say though the shop is clean and the people are friendly, but that really doesnt make up for the prices.

i have gone there now to get my belly button and my snake bites done. they are the ONLY shop i will go to now for piercings. in fact, i had such a great time with the people that worked there that i am going back to get my tattoos done as well. the workers are very fun and friendly, make sure you are informed properly on how to care for the piercing/tattoo and even give recommendations on where to go to buy the supplies. they are such a great help and i LOVE going there! even when i went to get my industrial pierced, the guy stated that he was unsure if i was able to get it done due to the shape of my upper ear and said he would prefer getting a second opinion before doing it. i thought that was awesome that he didnt just go against his feelings and he was straight forward about everything. (btw, he did a AMAZING job with doing my snake bites. i LOVE them!!!)

I really loved going to A+ the staff was nice and accommodating- I had driven into town (I live in a close by town) and it turned out the day they had scheduled my appointment, the piercer was out of town. They knocked off I think $15 dollars, and I ended up only paying $20 flat.
The piercer (I went down the next day) was very informative and fun. I plan on going there again soon!

there are just skin head biker types that aren't very experienced at tattooing. there piercer is never there either... i would steer clear
