First off, the positive reviews are clearly coming from the owner and/or employees. I bought a LivingSocial deal here, but only got to use 1 of my appointments. They do not answer their phones or E-mail, and they cancel appointments last minute. Avoid this place. It's a scam.

Like many of the other reviewers, I bought a LivingSocial coupon for laser hair removal at Skin Secrets Med Spa. I have called on numerous occasions, but have only reached a recording that says they "are not currantly accepting calls at that number." There is no other number on their website. I have also tried to reach them by email, but Skin Secrets has not responded.
I agree with another reviewer; if they take my money and offer nothing in return then they deserve the worst ratings for cost, convenience, and service. The only reviews on this site that don't pan the Skin Secrets Med Spa are suspiciously glowing in their praise and are probably fake reviews written by the spa owner or staff.
I regret my purchase. DO NOT BUY COUPONS FOR Skin Secrets Med Spa!

I purchased a Groupon at a great rate. Unfortunately, Skin Secrets doesn't answer their phone calls, so it is difficult to make appointments. If you do manage to get one, they are either cancelled or you arrive for the appontment to find them closed. I've met several others with this experience in my attempts to obtain the services that I purchased, which was laser hair removal. I found them lacking in professionalism, organization or hygiene the times I did get a treatment. A different technician each time and they seem to maintain no records. No doctor appears to be on the premises. I do not hesitate and recommend you look elsewhere.

I started going to this place because of a Groupon purchase. the first 2 appointments were ok, but I found it odd that the staff asked for tips in a medical office. On my third visit the technician burned me and left me with scaring and never made any notes in the chart. When I went back a month later I was still so badly burned that they could not treat me. I went for one more visit that went semi-smoothly and the next two that I showed up for the place was closed. There were several notes shoved under the door from other clients who obviously had the same problem I did. This place is ill-run, unprofessional and should be shut down if they haven't already done so themselves. Luckily, the people at Groupon have been very helpful in giving me a refund for this sorry excuse for a business.

This place can hardly be called a "business." They have terrible customer service, cancel their appointments repeatedly, and don't answer the phone or return phone calls or emails. If you do somehow manage to get an appointment and they don't cancel it last minute, don't be surprised if you show up and no one is even there. If you are thinking about going there - don't. Save yourself a major headache. And if you purchased a Groupon or Living Social deal contact them and request a refund. I know Groupon at least was very helpful.

I have had rude encounters with the owner of this salon on many occasions, through her hair salon in Harford County, Domani Studio, as well as with Skin Secrets. Minus the fact that both places have huge problems answering their phones and the spas inconvenient store hours, the overall staff seems to be friendly, but the owner not so much! Once I found out her name, I had to post this. Geneva is the owner of both places and is the most unreasonable, unfriendly, and do I even have to mention un-business like person there is! I’ve seen her talk crappy to customers on the phone and not be personable with customers to their face. How a woman like that gets to run a business for more than a month is beyond me!!! So definitely beware of what you get yourself into especially with all of the groupon, livingsocial, etc. out there today because if it is from Skin Secrets DO NOT BUY, but also, make sure to contact the salon first to see how reputable it is.

I bought a groupon, when i bought it they sold 592 which was crazy. It did take a little time to get in, but after I did I am very happy. They best way to get an appointment is e-mail. The phone lines are crazy. They respond right away to e-mail skinsecretsmedspa.net The people here are very professional and helpful. I am happy with my laser results.

We got 2 groupons for $150 each for one year of laser services (bikini and underarm). When we finally got an appointment (a month later) we went. It was fine but extremely painful, EXTREMELY Painful (even after following their directions to the T in preparation). We have another appointment scheduled, the day before they call and cancel it. Then we finally get to reschedule (10 days later)and we get there and the shop is closed. Buyer Beware! We are out $300!!!!!

I got a groupon on velashape from this place and had no results what so ever. They dont answer the phones and they ignore all messages to schedule. I had qestions about velashape and no one could answer them . The owner owns a salon in Harford County also and I can only imagine that location being the same low end establishment.

I purchased the LivingSocial Voucher for LAser treatments. I had the appointment scheduled, then was contacted by their receptionist telling me the air conditioning was broken. It's been 2 weeks and I can't get in touch with anyone to schedule my appointment. I guess they took the money from the Living Social vouchers and ran....

I purchased a groupon deal for this place but never got to use it. After attempting to contact this business numerous times over an 8- month period and leaving ove 20 messages, I never actually poke with anyone, a they never answer the phone and do not return messages! After groupon was unable to get a response from the business on my behalf, they refunded the purchase price.

If this will be the last place on the planet earth for cosmetic treatment, I would still not go to them. Worst staff I have ever seen. I went to this place as my eyes catched a GROUPON deal and It was a catch - Nothing on the name of laser hair removal. I would never go back to this place even if i have to loose the money on groupon deal.

This place is ok for laser hair removal- I dont think they use the latest lasers and dont even offer gel to their clients before treatment. They NEVER answer the phone which is very unprofessional. I went here only because they had a groupon deal but will not go back after the deal is over. There are much better places out there- just my opinion.

This place is a scam!! Got laser hair removal done and got chunks of meat and skin taken off!! Staff is unsympathetic and unprofessional when I told them what happened. Please do not buy any deals from this place. Do your research. If the deal is too good to be true than it is. Don't make same mistake like me!!

I have had laser hair removal here and I am very happy. I also tried the velashape and I have lost 4 inches. The staff here are great. The services and prices are great. I do admit they are very popular and they give amazing deals through groupon--so sometimes you have to wait for appointments. But it is worth it!
