They are all so nice there. Amber does an amazing job every single time, she is the only person I allow to touch my hair!!! The salon is always clean and visually appealing. Amber always makes sure to ask me if I need anything (magazines, water, etc.) They have great stylists there and they run a very good business. I recommend this establishment to everyone men, women, and children.

Modern Edge has been my “go to” salon since it’s inception. I knew Daniel from another establishment and when he opened his own salon in Newington it was a no brainer for me to make the move to Modern Edge. I especially appreciate that the products they use are not harsh as I have very sensitive skin and scalp. Daniel keeps current on all the latest advancements in the industry and has made some adjustments to my hair color as new products become available. It is refreshing to do business with someone who treats each and every customer with courtesy and respect. If you try Modern Edge, you will not be disappointed!

My friend kats hair always looks amazing and i got sick of hers being the only one. she recommended her stylist Daniel and I have to say I was very nervous that feeling soon disappeared after i started talking to him he took his time to explain not just what he was doing but why he was doing it. He communicated with me so well and the result was incredible!. now per his instructions i am going to go out to show off. lol

Love getting my hair done by Amber at Modern Edge! Love how she always gets my color right, she always gives my eyebrows the best shape, and she can blow out/flat iron your hair like it's no ones business. They alway schedule their appointments appropriately, so you don't have to wait!! The employees at Modern Edge are all very professional and get the job done! Absolutely love it :)

Daniel has cut my hair since they opened in Newington and I always LOVE my cuts. He has great talent in combining art and science in hairstyling. His skill in cutting allows the hair to fall in place perfectly for weeks after a cut with minimal styling on my part. Also, as an artist with a professional day job, and silvery white hair, I like an edgy but sophisticated style - I am never disappointed. Very comfortable and interesting atmosphere - they truly are a modern edge with the latest styling equipment and their own product line. I would highly recommend any of their services based on the high quality of attention I have received.

I drive more than a half hour, and past many other hair salons, to get my hair cut by Christine. She has an inmate sense of what looks good on people and always does a fantastic job with my hair. She takes her time to make sure the cut is even and well shaped. She also is great about giving instructions about how to style it at home so after that first wash it still looks great. I highly highly recommend her.

I have followed Daniel since before he opened his own salon, Modern Edge, and never regret doing so each and every time. He has an amazing skill in transforming you into exactly what you describe to him, but maintains an honest, caring approach when suggesting options that would work better for you from a stylist's professional opinion. His staff is always super friendly and accommodating and it truly is a relaxing and comfortable experience visiting here. The prices are very affordable for the quality you get. I recommend Daniel and his staff to every single person I encounter looking for a salon and every time, they thank me for doing so.

Daniel creates hair perfection! Amber and Christine are also incredibly skilled and creative, such an amazing team. I trust the work done at Modern Edge so implicitly that I will let them do whatever they want and the result is always stunning and unique! Not to mention the have created a new product line that smells delicious and works wonders!
I love everything about this place and it is worth every penny!

But still professional for work. I have the best time there.
They also support local charities like the Sunshine Kids. They rock!

My husband and I have both been going to Dan for almost two years now for our hair cuts. His salon is exceptionally clean and the staff is always incredibly friendly. Despite the fact that Modern Edge is a half an hour away from our house, we refuse to go anywhere else. This salon's standards go above and beyond any other hair salon I have been to or heard of.

Just passing by for business and stopped in for a cut after being very rudely rejected from the place next door and couldn't have been happier never had a straight blade razor used on my hair like best haircut EVER!and I'm out of New York defiantly would recommend to anyone.
