"I've been everywhere in SB for massages - Avia, Camille, the Biltmore, Bacara, Zenspa, Mishay...even a few private in-home deep/sport massage therapists - each place has its own pros and cons...but when you are looking for therapeutic work, or if you're looking for the deepest deep tissue massage in town, this is the place to go. I've used DTMC for acute injury/problems as well as maintenance work, and it's the one place I'm sure to return to every 6 weeks or so. Through Colin's encyclopedic knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy, he treats the body as an entire system, rather than isolated elements."

"Colin is the most amazing deep tissue massage professional I could imagine. After several back surgeries, etc., that left me in a lot of pain, it was Colin and his expertise with the body, muscles, etc., that brought healing and confidence to me. He taught me how to 'hear and understand' my body and to work with it. He is fair, thorough, very professional and knowledgeable. I could not live without him! He is priced very fair. And, you will always get your dollars worth from Colin."

I was referred to Colin by my chiropractor after I began holding adjustments, but continued to suffer from deep pain between my rhomboids, neck and shoulders as well as numbness in my hands. Colin has alleviated the pain and brought me to a new level of physical wellness through a combination of deep tissue massage, connective tissue work, and his intuitive healing touch.

I had a complete ACL replacement last year and I was having difficulty in the healing process. I was attending physical therapy twice a week for over 6 weeks with little improvement. Then I was referred to Colin by a colleague and he changed my life completely.
After seeing Colin, he continued to find new ways and help restore my knee's range of motion. I highly recommend him for any sport massage therapy and deep tissue massage. He has given me my confidence back and now I am back to running and playing sports again.

Excellent place for deep massage body work to release chronic patterns of tension. Colin is Very knowledgeable, professional, and Exceptionally caring. I can personally recommend Colin for healing sports injuries and to aid in a healthy letting go of stress that gets stored up in your body. I noticed results immediately, as the root causes of my various aches and pains was(is) the focus of the massage. Colin has many dedicated years of experience working with people and a sincere desire to be of help in an individual's healing process. This is the best place in Santa Barbara to go for deep tissue massage body work.

Colin's knowledge of the anatomy of the body is apparent as soon as he places his hands on you. He listens, responds and understands what the client needs. His work is of the highest caliber and he is a man of great integrity. Well worth the price. I will be a client for life.

I have used the services of other massage therapists and physical therapists over the last few years, and have never found another one to equal the great results I got from Colin. I had chronic low back, hip, and neck pain, and seeing him regularly kept me virtually pain free. I have since moved from Santa Barbara, and I wish I could have taken Colin and his magic hands with me! Excellent therapist, and I highly recommend him.

I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome [TOS] vein impingement in November of 2005 at the age of 53 and was told by a local vascular surgeon the only fix is surgery. I spent the next six months and over 50 office visits looking for alternative medicine/holistic healing approaches inlcuding chiroprators, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and physical therpists. Nothing was working so I went to UCLA and was given a second confirmation that surgery was the only fix. I decided not to have the surgery and continued to look for alternatives. Then I heard about Colin Silverman and his reputation for helping people with TOS. His treatment worked. It has been three years and my symptoms are rarely noticeable. I can swim sprint intervals, do pull ups, go for 50 mile rides on a road bike, and yoga; none of these were possible before his treatment. I am truly grateful for Colin's help, he is the BEST!!!

Colin has a broad understanding of the body and really takes the time to work through the tissues. His hands are patient and knowledgable,and he knows how to work gently, as well as deeply. I had a shoulder injury for months that wasn't getting better. Colin worked on my shoulder for an hour; with such focused intention, knowledge of the structures, muscles, ligaments and how they work, that I had relief for the first time. After several visits I had full range back, no pain while sleeping and could continue with my daily activiites. He is sensitive, very well trained, and made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I recommend him to everyone who asks for a good therapist.
