Pampers from head to toe with a facial and a pedicure, I found the service to be better than I expected. The pedicure in particular was really excellent. The service and staff were nice, attentive and trying to leave a good impression. The only thi g for me, and that's of course a question of personal taste, was how dark the place was. Even the room for the facial was plunges into darkness, making it of course challenging to do a complete facial. The accent is on relaxation, and I think it was overall a very pleasant experience.

Very overpriced. Had waxing services done, had to wait ten minutes for my "stylist" to finally show up for appointment. She did the quick swipe under eyebrow and said, "So, how's that?" Only at my insistence did she attempt to pluck or trim anything. Then one quick swipe over lip. At checkout I was told it would be $60 for the three-minute waxing because she was a "master." Place was a mess, water thermos empty, and dirty mugs everywhere.

They overcharge for their services and they do poor jobs. You can make an appointment but don't bother to show up until 15 after your appointment time. They make up wait at least 15-40 minutes before calling you in. They rush to make it to the next appointments. Customer service is poor. They act snotty and don't greet you until you're up at the cash registers. Items on shelves look old. Hair designs...don't bother...you can do it better than they can.
Waste of my money and most importantly my time.

While salon shopping for my parent's Christmas couples massage I called Allure Day Spa with a couple of questions I had about their services. I had to call four or five times during the course of 3 days in order to get a hold of someone to actually speak to. When someone answered my call, it was answered with a surprisingly rude tone matched with an impatient, lady on the other end. Her voice inflections, tone & non-verbal ques seemed to all but spit on me in disdain! No hyperbole here. I literally felt belittled after speaking to her.
Furthermore, when my current hairstylist (who I love and is currently working at Opulence today) first moved up here from CA he applied to Allure. During the interview he offered to show the interviewer his portfolio (a book with pictures of his work), and the interviewer turned down that opportunity to critique his capabilities! That in and of itself is a testament to how they hire their staff; people you pay $46-$70 for a women's haircut.
